The Library Partners Press Award

Library Partners Press Awards are administered annually with help from book publishing professionals including librarians, bookstore owners, reviewers, designers, publicity managers, editors, and LPP Board members.

The winner(s) of LPP Award(s) will receive advances/stipends of $1000, as well as the fancy title of LPP Writer-in-Residence, which we hope will better enable and support the rendering of otherwise unpublished non-fiction and/or creative non-fiction manuscripts into magnificent monographs, solidifying the books’ (and the authors’) enduring appeal and credibility. Plus, we’ll host a launch party, to which everyone’s invited.

Submissions and nominations in the following categories are now being accepted and considered:

  • Biography (incl. autobiography, memoir)
  • Essays (including creative non-fiction, humor, narratives, lists, etc.)
  • History
  • Journalism / Reporting / Politics
  • Open Access (really probably anything here)
  • Reference / Textbook
  • and maybe some YA

Seriously, it’ll be a fun party, but you have to play to win: meet us at the intersection of books, libraries, and publishing.
